1If I buy an Unlimited membership, can I wash my car at any Zippy’s location?

2Do you offer a ‘contactless’ method of payment?
We do! You can prepay for a wash here at zippyscarwash.net. When you come through the wash, your wash can be redeemed automatically. You don’t even have to roll down your window!
3Is Zippy’s a touchless car wash?
It’s very difficult to get anything really clean without contact, even with high pressure and harsh chemicals. At Zippy’s, we use closed-cell foam and 100% safe biodegradable soaps to gently clean your car. Our foam makes contact with your car, which is the best way to get it clean without scratching or dulling your clear coat finish.
4Do you offer detailing?
We don’t offer any exterior or interior detail services. 
5How can I cancel my membership?
You can email [email protected]or [email protected] with the name on the credit card used to purchase AND either your Fast Pass ID number or License Plate with your request. There is no contract or obligation, and you can cancel at any time. (Please allow 7 days to process.) No refunds will be given when discontinuing. 
6What do you mean by ‘unlimited’ car washes?
Vehicles with active memberships are eligible to wash as often as they’d like each month. Limited to one wash per day. 
7Is it really better to wash my car at Zippy’s rather than at home?
Yes! It’s so much better for the environment and for your car. Our car wash applies high-tech chemicals that efficiently clean dust and residue, offering added protection to your car’s finish. When people wash at home, they may end up accidentally scratching their vehicle’s finish because the towels and sponges used are not 100% clean.  A recent study shows that the average person uses more than 100 gallons of water when washing a car by hand. Our computer-controlled system uses under 45 gallons of fresh water for each wash, in addition to over 100 gallons of recycled water. Also, when you wash at home, more soap is generally used, and the soapy water goes straight into the waterways.
8What vehicles do you not wash?
We can’t wash dually trucks or trucks with fuel tanks, loose items, or debris in the back. Lifted vehicles above a 7’2” clearance is not accommodated based on our tunnel size. Anything with a luggage rack, ladder rack, greasy fifth wheel, or aftermarket parts that are not deemed to be safe are not able to wash.
9Is the wash safe for convertibles?
Absolutely! Please make sure that the roof is properly latched unless you want a shower. 😊
10Is the wash safe for newly painted cars?
Yes! However, your car’s paint needs at least 30 days to cure before you should take it through a car wash. Consult with your body shop for curing times just to be on the safe side. FYI, paint on new cars is fully cured before delivery.
11Will a cracked windshield be safe in the wash?
Yes. However, once the integrity of windshield glass is compromised by rock chips (even very small ones), it becomes more susceptible to changes in temperature. So, while you may wash your vehicle with windshield damage, cracks, or chips may expand during the process. It’s always best to repair or replace a damaged windshield immediately.
12Will my antenna be OK?
Any fixed factory antenna will not be harmed during the wash. Power antennas are hollow core, and will break if left in the raised position, so please lower all power antennas. Zippy’s is not responsible for antennas that have not been lowered. Aftermarket products such as CB and cell phone antennas should be removed prior to washing.
13My finish looks dull and streaky. Why?
This is usually a sign of oxidation, which occurs as paint ages and decays from exposure to sunlight and road oils. You can slow the process by washing your vehicle often and applying a coat of hand wax at least once a year. If oxidation has already occurred, try cleaning the paint with a paint cleaning compound, then polishing and waxing the finish.
14Will my bug shield be safe?
Unfortunately, we can’t be responsible for aftermarket accessories to your vehicle, including bug shields. Most customers who have bug shields wash their vehicles with no incident. However, problems can arise if the shield has prior damage or if it is made from low-grade plastic. If you’re in the market for a new bug shield, we recommend products made of Lexan, which is virtually indestructible.


1How do I sign up for unlimited washes?
Visit your nearest Zippy’s Car Wash or purchase online (Niles location only). Select the wash you want and pay with a credit or debit card.

6Is an Unlimited sticker required?
Yes and no. When you become an Unlimited member at our Milwaukee location, a small RFID tag about the size of a stick of gum will be attached to the windshield of your vehicle. Our Niles location has upgraded to LPR (License Plate Recognition) and no longer requires an unlimited sticker. 
7How can I replace my Unlimited sticker tag?
Got a new car or had a window replaced? No problem! See a Zippy’s manager and they can replace it for you.
8What if I get a new credit card?
You can talk with a Zippy’s team member or update your card information online now.
9I want to buy an Unlimited membership online. How will I get my pass?
You will only be able to purchase an Unlimited membership online for our Niles location. You’ll receive a receipt and barcode by email. Just present the barcode (print it out or keep it on your phone) at Zippy’s, and our License Plate reader will scan and activate your license plate. *Please note that the credit or debit card presented at Zippy’s will be the card used for monthly recharges. (Online purchases for our Niles location only.)


1Do I need my Unlimited pass number to cancel my plan or update my card?
Yes, to manage your plan online, you will need either the 11-digit number on the Unlimited sticker on your windshield (it will be in the format 12345+123456) or your license plate and last name on credit card. If you don’t have access to your Unlimited sticker or license plate, please contact us.
2How long does it take for my plan to be canceled?
In order to allow processing time, any updates should be completed 7 business days prior to the anniversary date on which your card will be recharged. If you cancel, your plan will remain active until the next billing date and you may continue to wash during this time.
3Will I receive a refund after canceling my plan?
No, you will not receive a refund. Your plan will remain active until the next billing date.
4Will I receive an email confirmation after I update my credit card or cancel my plan?
Yes, you will receive an email confirmation after you complete your request.
